Who is responsible
The data fiduciary for personal data handled through this site, in the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, is:
Not configured for live payments. The operator's legal name, address and contact route are unset, so this page does not yet state who is selling. Set them in lib/business.ts before taking money.
What we collect
- Listing details: the destination you submit, the category and location you choose, and the name, description and image we resolve for it.
- Payment details: our payment provider collects your email, billing address and card details on its own checkout page and confirms the payment to us. We receive the confirmation and the email address associated with it, which we store with the order so we can identify it if you write to us. We never see or store a card number. You may also give us a GSTIN or legal entity name for your invoice.
- Technical and usage data: standard request information such as IP address, user agent, referring page and the pages you view, together with which listings were shown and which were clicked.
- Anything you send us: correspondence, takedown notices, and complaints, kept as needed to answer them and to keep a record.
We do not store raw IP addresses. Where an address is used to keep click counts honest it is salted and hashed first, and the hash is what is written. We do not sell personal data, and we do not buy it. We do not share your contact details with other advertisers unless you ask us to.
Why we use it
- To take payment, create or raise a listing, and answer you about an order.
- To run and improve the service: measuring traffic, understanding which boards and categories are used, fixing faults, and developing new features.
- To keep the board honest and safe: deduplicating clicks, filtering automated traffic, preventing fraud and abuse, and enforcing our rules and terms.
- To send you messages about the service, and marketing where you consent.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations, and to defend claims.
Where you provide something voluntarily for a purpose, that purpose is the basis we rely on under section 7 of the Act. Where we ask for consent, you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
Cookies and local storage
We use what the site needs to work, such as remembering your light or dark theme preference, and we may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic and keep counts accurate. We do not use them for advertising profiles built across other websites.
Receipts and invoices for a payment are sent by our payment provider. We may send you messages about the service itself, such as a notice about your listing or a change to these policies, because those are part of providing it. Marketing, such as product updates, is sent only where you have consented, and every marketing message carries a one-click unsubscribe.
Listings are public
A listing's name, description, image, position, spend and destination link are public and can be read by anyone, including search engines. Do not list something you do not want shown. To display a listing we fetch the destination page, which tells that destination we requested it.
Who we share it with
Service providers acting on our instructions, in categories including:
- Payments and fraud prevention.
- Hosting, databases, storage and content delivery.
- Analytics, error monitoring and performance measurement.
- Email, messaging and customer support tools.
We also share where we have to: with advisers, or an authority, to comply with the law, enforce our terms or defend a claim. If the service or the business is transferred, reorganised, or acquired, data may transfer with it, and this policy continues to apply until the recipient publishes its own.
How long we keep it
As long as the purposes above need it, and after that as long as tax, accounting, dispute and legal-record obligations require. Public listing entries stay while the listing is on a board, and may persist in backups for a period after removal. Beyond that we erase personal data once the purpose it was given for is served, as section 8 of the Act requires.
Transfers outside India
Our providers may process data outside India. Where that happens we rely on section 16 of the Act, which permits transfer except to a country the government has restricted.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data about anyone under 18, and we do not track children or direct advertising at them. If you think a child has used the service, tell us and we will delete what we can identify.
Your rights, and complaints
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, and nominate someone to act for you. Some records have to be retained for statutory periods even after the rest is deleted. Public listing content is not made private simply because it appears on a board, but you can ask us to remove the listing.

We may update this page when the service or the law changes. The date at the top is the current version, and if a change is material we will say so here.
