Common questions about buying a position on the board.
- What is TopWise?
- A public leaderboard where position is bought. You list a product, profile or venue, pay for a position, and sit above everyone who paid less. One payment counts on every board your listing qualifies for.
- Is TopWise a review site?
- No. It is an advertising leaderboard. Position reflects spend alone. We do not test, review or rate anything, and appearing high is not our opinion of what is listed. See the rules.
- How is TopWise different from a launch board or a directory?
- There are no votes, no submissions queue and no editors. Nothing can be won by campaigning, and nothing is gatekept. The only input is what was paid, which is printed next to every listing so you can check the order yourself.
- What does it cost to get on the board?
- ₹99 of placement, which is enough to hold first place on a board nobody has claimed yet. Applicable tax is added on top at checkout by our payment provider, and never counts towards your position.
- Do I have to be first to be worth listing?
- No, and that is what subcategories and location boards are for. One payment ranks you on every board your listing qualifies for, so a modest amount can hold first place on a narrow board while placing you further down a broad one.
- What happens when someone outranks me?
- You drop a position and stay listed. To take it back, enter the same destination again and name a higher total. Raising charges only the difference, not the whole new total.
- Why does taking first place cost extra?
- Taking first place from another listing needs their total plus ₹500, so the top cannot be flipped back and forth ₹10 at a time. If you already hold it, you can raise by a normal step.
- What can I list on TopWise?
- A product, service or website, a social profile, or a physical business, as long as you own it or are authorised to represent it. Chat and invite links, link shorteners and adult platforms are not allowed. The Rules have the full list.
- How do I pay, and when does my position start?
- Checkout runs through Dodo Payments, the merchant of record: card details go to them rather than to us, and your receipt and invoice come from them. Your position is assigned when the payment confirms, at whatever place the amount then reaches.
- Are the click counts real?
- Yes, and they are meant to be checked. Every listing shows the clicks we recorded for it beside what it paid, so the cost of each click is visible rather than implied.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. See the refund policy for the narrow cases we do put right, such as a duplicate charge.
- Someone listed my business without asking.
- Write to us and we will remove it. No charge, and you do not need to outspend anyone. Our address is in the footer of every page.
- Do outbound links help my SEO?
- No, deliberately. Every outbound listing link is
rel="nofollow sponsored". You are buying visibility and clicks, not ranking signal.
